In recent years, themes have revolved around the conscious mind and the healing of the soul. Reiki, meditation, dream studies, tarot reading, art therapy theory, the observation of nature and the unconcious mind are influencing my creative chemistry and opening seemingly infinite doors to new, inspiring thoughts and philosophies. My creative process involves transposing images that appear, almost like dreams in sleep, from my conciousness into an unbridled, figurative narrative. Intuition and sensitivity guide my creative process. Recent pieces depict gardens, imaginary places and giant women ~ The theme of nature or of the living universe is omnipresent. My work connects me to this world and to my true nature, putting me in touch with its various transformative states.

Luminous bodies will allow me to explore new approaches to the human body and consciousness. I will create a series of exploratory sketches using Chinese ink, pencil and possibly digital transfer on paper.

Brigitte Baillargeon is a multimedia artist working in acrylic painting, collage, embroidery and digital photo transfer. She holds a B.A. from Université Bishop. Baillargeon’s work is collected by L’Artothèque and various private collections in Quebec and France. She lives and works in her studio at Sherbrooke, Quebec.
