I am interested in understanding how the oscillating waveforms in our environments impact our bodies and create embodied memory, and the ability of sound to create a physical experience in our bodies as a form of healing.
My piece will explore sound as a means to communicate sub-atomically with the body as a practice of study as well as healing. Using voice, wine glasses and synthesizers, the piece will touch the boundary between the emotional and physical realms in our bodies through oscillation, rhythm and frequency. As the idea of ‘normal’ is largely a creation of capitalism, this project will study the body as a vessel of frequency, existing outside of capitalist structures, and attune to the waveforms of the universe in relationship with consciousness, cells, and the cosmos, that speaks the intergenerational stories held in our bodies.
